The Gaia University logo is inspired by one of the Hopi symbols for Mother Earth. It is considered to be the symbol of the Emergence, representing spiritual rebirth, and is commonly known as Tapu'at (Mother and Child).* (from the Book of the Hopi by Frank Waters, Penguin Books, 1985, p. 23.)
We are especially grateful to Katya Warner, as well as Ari Adler and Dickon Isaacs for their contributions to the design.
Coral:
We have chosen the color coral to represent the latest cultural manifestation we see emerging on planet Earth. Being second tier and in the warm tones, we are intuiting the emergence of unconditional love as the primary ground for human (inter)-action and cultural expression. In the future we will create an open discussion around the meaning of the color coral within the theory of Spiral Dynamics.
